At the tender age of five, Bud learned that standing on a chair and strumming an old found acoustic guitar would cause people to stop and take notice. By the age of 19, Bud married his high school sweetheart Susan. They |
| relocated to rural Ohio where Bud earned a living as a carpenter, rehabbing local farms. When the coal mines in his community |
|
shutdown, Bud purchased a
truck and privately hauled coal in order to provide for his bride and new
baby girl Adriana. It was there that the seed was planted. On a hot summer afternoon, a local business man overheard Bud playing his guitar and asked if he would consider performing for a dinner party he was hosting that evening. That encounter turned into a 2 1/2 year gig. Buds decision was made for him. Playing on those Saturday nights for just two hours earned his family $15.00 more per week than swinging a hammer or hauling coal for 40 to 50 hours. Since that time Bud has been all about the guitar. Studying music theory, rehearsing and refining his technique to the point that he now teaches his craft to musicians of all makes and models. Guitarists, pianist, even tuba players have studied with Bud at his private studio to get a better understanding of what it is that they do, and have to do, to raise themselves to their dream level of musicianship. Teaching guitar clinics for local schools systems, assisting public schools to institute and maintain solid guitar programs in their curriculum, Bud is committed to his passion. In order to portray his unique sonic portrait to his fan base, Bud decided in 2005 that it would be best to pull his previous recordings from the market and invest in and maintain his own private recording studio, thus "Fall's Kiss Studio's" was born. With his wife Susan at the helm producing his CD's and encouraging Bud to maintain a more pianistic approach to the guitar, the first of their efforts is soon to be released. Look for Bud's new CD entitled "Welcome" to be released in the Fall of 2006. This theme CD celebrates 11 communities in the Holmes County Ohio area. With songs such as the romantic "a walk thru Berlin " to the haunting melody of "Mount Hope" your sure to find a body of work from a master on top of his game! |
